A Dinosaur’s Hero – Buddy Davis

Small Buddy DAvis

Crawling through caves, slashing through swamps, movie making, song writing, story telling, teacher, artist, author …Sound like Indiana Jones?

Even better!  This world traveler and adventurer has experienced REAL adventures and  has lived to tell about them!  His name is Buddy Davis, and he is one of my long time heroes.

AND — guess what?  My husband and I got to meet him and attend two of his workshops at the Creation Museum a few weeks ago!!! It was fantastic to meet him and attend the workshops!  I also got to meet his wife Kay, who is now also one of my heroes!

Small TREX

While at the Creation Museum we attended the T. Rex, King of the Dragons workshop, where we discovered all kinds of cool things about the T. Rex, and got to sculpt a clay dino.  (My husband’s dino looked a LOT better than mine!)

Small Dino Mite

We also got to go on a fantastic Dinosaur tour with Buddy Davis to see many of the dinosaurs he has sculpted.  One of Buddy’s many talents is being a “paleo-artist.”  As a “paleo-artist,” Buddy specializes in building life-size dinosaur sculptures. He has sculpted more than 60 impressive dinosaur models, many of which have found a new home in the Creation Museum including his 40′ T. rex in the Creation Museum’s Dinosaur Den.

This is an adventure I would highly recommend!  It was great fun, and very interesting!  The dinosaurs looked so life-like it almost looked like they could talk….  :) They looked hungry too!
